Philips has been committed to creating top-quality CPAP machines that cater to the daily needs of CPAP users. If you travel a lot, however, you might find using a CPAP machine laborious. Luckily, there is Respironics Dreamstation Go, the company’s smallest CPAP machine to date, which is specifically designed to help users sleep more comfortably, even during travels.

Better quality of life

If you suffer from obstructive sleep apnea, a CPAP machine is the best tool that can help manage your condition. CPAP is an acronym for continuous positive airway pressure. It works by keeping your airway open when you breathe in so that your body can enjoy sufficient supply of oxygen. This will help improve your daily functioning, boost your mood, promote better sleep quality, and reduce daytime sleepiness.

Small and lightweight

Designed as a travel CPAP machine, Respironics Dreamstation Go only weighs 1.86 lbs. Its lightweight and easy-to-carry design is perfect for users who travel frequently. Despite its compact size, however, it still provides the same quality of comfort and therapy to its users who are always on the go. It can fit easily in your baggage for a hassle-free airport screening.

Sleek design

This portable CPAP machine has a minimalist design with ⅓ lesser components compared to other CPAP machines for sale in the market. This reduces the machine’s bulk significantly, making it easier to use and to carry around. It also has a color touchscreen navigation system that features a simple and user-friendly interface. You can enjoy its features through simple tap and swipe gestures. Its menu include:

  • My info. This menu is where you can find the data on your therapy use.
  • My comfort. This menu is where you can adjust the comfort setting.
  • My device. This menu contains the device settings.
  • My support. This menu has the information that you need to read to your supplier so that they can assist you better over the phone.

Track results across devices

You can track your recent usage data easily under the Respironics Dreamstation Go’s “My Info” menu icon.

Dreamstation Go is also compatible with Dreammapper. You can sync your CPAP to your mobile device’s Dreammapper app via Bluetooth™ connection. Dreammapper allows you to review and track your consolidated progress and therapy results in a printable dashboard hassle free. This makes it easier to monitor your usage, AHI, and mask leak with just a few swipes.

Battery, charging, and power source

Upon purchase, you have the option to include a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with your Respironics Dreamstation Go. The battery charge usually lasts for 1 to 2 nights, depending on the therapy pressure that you use. A 10cm of airway pressure is expected to last an average of 13 hours when the device is running off the overnight battery.

If the device is completely discharged, it takes less than 5 hours to get it fully charged. You can also operate your Dreamstation Go CPAP from a DC power source like your car’s battery but you will have to use a DC to AC converter.

Do you want to use your battery pack without losing charge? Simply plug the device into the power source and connect it to an AC outlet. Now, you can use the Dreamstation Go’s battery pack as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS).

For travelers, you need to notify the airline in advance if you want to use the device on the airplane. This is necessary in order for you to be aware of any restriction and requirement that may apply as well as information on the plane’s available power outlet and the required power adapters.

Luckily, there is a simpler solution to this. Simply purchase the optional battery pack for in-flight use for a hassle-free and more convenient in-flight experience.

Masks For The DreamStation Go

Although it is best to use Philips Respironics accessories for Dreamstation Go, the device is also compatible with other CPAP masks from other manufacturers. Users are encouraged, however, not to use any accessories and detachable materials that are not recommended by Philips as incompatibility can negatively affect the device performance.

Micro-flexible Tubing

As the smallest CPAP design, Respironics Dreamstation Go also has the smallest CPAP tubing without compromising the quality of user experience. Its 12mm diameter tube offers the same benefits and treatment experience offered by traditional tubing while conveniently taking up 58% lesser space compared to the standard 22mm tubing.

Using a CPAP has never been this easy and comfortable as the micro-flexible tubing allows you to have more freedom of movement during sleep. The click-connections on either end of the tube also makes connecting and disconnecting the tube and the mask easier.

Although the device comes with a 12mm micro-flexible tubing, the Dreamstation Go can also support 15mm and 22mm tubings. If you prefer to use other tubing types, simply change the tubing settings on the device’s user interface by navigating to the “My Comfort” menu.

Ramp Feature (Optional)

The Dreamstation Go has a ramp feature that allows users to fall asleep more comfortably. It decreases the air pressure when you are initiating sleep and gradually increases (ramps) the pressure until the prescription setting is reached.

Flex technology

Respironics Dreamstation Go uses the scientifically proven Flex technologies to improve CPAP therapy and improve user comfort. It strives to provide the user with the correct amount of pressure in a precise timing in an effort to make CPAP therapy as comfortable as possible.

Flex technology automatically assesses the breathing patterns of the user and provides pressure relief at the beginning of exhalation. It also makes the pressure transition from inhalation to exhalation easier by taking note of the user’s natural breathing pattern.

Sleep Coach Service (Optional)

It has been shown that sleep coaching can increase the user’s compliance with and adherence to the recommended CPAP therapy. The Sleep Coach Service assists you in the proper use of the equipment and in finding the answers to common technical questions such as machine set-up, CPAP functionality, user interface, the Dreammapper app, humidification, heated tubing, and CPAP mask issues.
