Inogen One DC Power Cord

The Inogen One DC Power Cord is among the most used and important oxygen concentrator accessories by the manufacturer Inogen. Operating for nearly 20 years, Inogen has started their work with their first product Inogen One.

Today, the company produces three kinds of the Inogen One product such as Inogen One G2, G3, and G4. In the following text, we will talk about the latest two types of this device.

Regardless of which oxygen concentrator we are talking about, both Inogen One G3 and Inogen One G4 have a long-lasting battery that requires recharging after it is fully drained. The Inogen One DC power cord is designed to be used for the Inogen One G3 and Inogen One G4. When it comes to charging the oxygen concentrators battery, the DC power cord is a very handy option.

Key Features

  • 6 feet cord
  • Weighs 2 pounds
  • Power Input: 13.5 – 15.5 Volts
  • 90 Day Warranty
  • Works in most vehicles, boats or RVs

The Inogen One DC Power cord is able to connect into standard DC outlets such as the ones mostly found in RVs, cars, boats, and trucks. When the DC power cord is connected to electricity source through a DC outlet, the Inogen One will operate normally and fully recharge its battery.

The manufacturer Inogen highly recommends using a minimum of 15AMP DC outlets when using the power cord in order to prevent possible damaging of the port.

On-the-go solution

Traveling or even visiting nearby places is probably one of the most stressful situations for the patients obligated to carry oxygen tanks. Portable oxygen concentrators were invented but they for sure cannot last forever. Like any device, they need to be charged from time to time in order to properly function.

It is not that uncommon to forget your original charger while you are on the go. That's why this DC power cord is the smartest solution for everyone living on the go. Not only is it lightweight, but it can also be connected to power sources we all have available while traveling.

These standard DC outlets can be found in your car, boat, and a vast majority of vehicles. Due to this reason, it finds a great purpose for anyone who does not prefer bringing their original charger with them.

Easy to use

This accessory is very easy to use. Besides having it with you at all times, what you should do is connect the DC power cord with a power source and let the cord do the rest of the work. The power cord will allow your Inogen One oxygen concentrator to charge as much as it needs. Later, you will have a fully recharged oxygen tank ready to use.

An absence of a power brick

Generally, power suppliers are being connected to an often heavy and bulky power brick. Well, this is not the case with the Inogen power cord.

The cord does not have any form of a power brick, which only makes the Inogen One G3 DC power cable perfect for use.

Automatic charging

As mentioned above, the DC power cable works when connected to DC adapters such as the cigarette lighter outlet you all have present in your cars, boats, and trucks. Once the connection between the electricity source and the battery is established, the cord provides automatic charging of the battery. The power input is not bigger than 15.5 Volts and not lesser than 13.5 Volts.

The DC power cord has the ability to charge both, 8-cell and 16-cell battery units.  After the recharging is done, the G3 oxygen concentrator users are able to use their device freely.

Real-time charging

Inogen One G3 can be either an 8-cell battery unit or 18-cell battery unit.

If you are using the DC power cord to charge an 8-cell battery it will take you a maximum of 3 hours to fully recharge the battery. If you are using the power, cable to recharge a 16-cell battery it will take you a maximum of 4.5 hours for recharging the depleted battery.

Patient-friendly

The Inogen One DC Power Cord is an accessory that is very convenient for the patients. Not only it is lightweight and extremely portable, but the cable itself is also, in fact, a perfect length of 6 feet. Because of this reason, the patients do not have to worry about restricted mobility due to short cord lengths.

The length of 6 feet will allow you to move around while you are charging your G3 oxygen concentrator. This is why the DC power cable is considered to be patient friendly and mostly used to travel anywhere with.
