One of the most advanced mobility scooters, offered by Drive Medical is the ZooMe Auto- Flex Scooter. The most distinct feature of this scooter is its flexibility. The bending of the scooter is made electronically and lasts only 15 seconds. That is, just by pressing a button the scooter is packed and you can place it in your garage or in your car and transfer it somewhere else. The fascinating part of this technology is its weight capacity, which is 300lb, while the scooter itself weighs only 60 pounds.

                  The ZooMe Auto-Flex runs at 4mph and can go up to 13 miles, with a single charge. This mobility scooter is perfect for older citizens who need lightweight scooters with bigger weight limits that will provide them good driving balance. ZooMe Auto-Flex has a 47.2 turning radius, which makes it ideal for driving in both indoor and outdoor spaces.

                  The maximum claiming angle is 6 ° and the ground clearance is 16”.  The size of the front wheels is 6” x 1.5”, while the dimension of the rear wheels is 7” x 2.35”, which gives the scooter extra security and guarantee for an easy movement.

                  To prevent any loss of control or overturning the scooter, ZooMe is further equipped with anti-tip wheels. These wheels are designed to protect the driver in the event of a loss of control over the scooter. The size of the anti-tip wheels is 2” x .5”.  The enjoyment and elegance while driving are provided with a comfortable seat which is 16 inches wide and 14 inches deep.

                  Operation and safety

                  Auto folding and unfolding

                  The folding of the scooter is quite simple and it can be done by pressing on one of the two buttons located on the key. In case the battery of your key is to be emptied, the folding and unfolding of the scooter can be done by the button located on the back of the scooter.

                  Electromagnetic Breaks

                  Safety is more enhanced by the electric brakes specifically designed to considerably ease the scooter ride and increase the smoothness in the movement. Namely, the electric brakes stop the scooter once the user releases the throttle. That way the throttle returns to its central position and the scooter reaches a standstill position.

                  It is worth mentioning that the ZooMe Auto-Flex has two types of breaks, regenerative and park breaks. Regenerative brakes use electricity to quickly stop the scooter once the throttle is in its central position.

                  As for the park breaks, they automatically lock the drive wheels as soon as the scooter comes to a full stop. The main goal of the ZooMe Auto-Flex scooter is to ease the daily activities of people whose mobility is limited.

                  Therefore, Drive Medical has designed s ZooMe Auto-Flex so that it will be suitable for carrying out both indoor and outdoor activities.

                  Scooter Transportation

                  Taking into account the lightweight, the compactness and the possibility of folding, ZooMe can be easily stored in a van or other means of transport during travel. The ZooMe Auto-Flex is 37 inches in length, 17 inches’ width, and 32.5 inches’ in height. Furthermore, the overall scooter weight is 60lb. ZooMe Auto-Flex is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which means that you can take it with you even on longer trips.

                  Charging the scooter

                  The charging of the ZooMe Auto-Flex is no different from the charging of the other models of scooters, offered by Drive Medical. You have to be sure that the freewheel levers are hooked and the power is turned off. The scooter will clearly indicate if the batteries are empty, through the different lights that flash in green, orange, or red.

                  If your scooter shows a green light that means that the batteries are full and there is no need for charging. But if it shows orange or red, it means it's time to recharge your scooter.

                  Battery maintenance

                  Keeping the battery protected, is also very important if you want your scooter to be in good shape and quality over time. If you use the scooter on a daily basis, charge the batteries after each use. If you use the scooter less often, then it is enough to charge it once a week from 10-14 hours.


                  For longer life of the scooter and a more comfortable use, ZooMe Auto-Flex comes with several accessories.

                  Dust Cover

                  Same as the other models of scooters, ZooMe Auto-Flex comes with a dust cover to protect the scooter from the bad external influences. The cover is big enough to protect the whole scooter from dirt or dust.

                  Drink Holder

                  The beverage holder is located immediately from the sides of the scooter. This allows you to bring a drink with you and refresh whenever you need it. The holder is easily accessible and large enough to fit a bottle and hold it firmly.

                  Armrest Bag

                  The armrest bag includes pockets and a mesh drink holder. This bag makes driving even more comfortable because you can rest your arm while driving while you also take your favorite beverage with you.
