FAA-Approved Portable Oxygen Concentrators
Portable oxygen machines are great if you want to travel by air, and we have some FAA-approved options for you! To be approved by the Federal Aviation Administration means that these portable oxygen concentrators passed their acceptance criteria. You can use these concentrators on any airline to any destination in the world.
We want to give our customers more freedom when they travel by air, so your portable concentrators will not be included in your carry on limit on the plane. The carry bag, wheel cart, and accessory bag are also excluded.
Some airlines require you to have a certain level of battery life in order to fly on their aircraft. If your trip is coming up, be sure to contact them well ahead of time or at least 2 weeks to learn about this. Bring extra battery power just in case the flight takes longer than expected. Airlines may also require you to bring a note from your doctor that lists the prescription and your medical need for a concentrator.
Portable oxygen concentrators don't actually produce oxygen, they just concentrate it from the air. If you need one while traveling, make sure to bring spare batteries with you in your carry-on luggage for the duration of the flight.
